The Tigres del Licey have engaged in several roster movements ahead of the 2026-27 LIDOM season. The club initially announced the signing of catcher Bryan Lavastida and veteran Colombian left-handed pitcher José Quintana, who is expected to join the team on October 11. Following these signings, the Tigres del Licey completed a trade with Leones del Escogido. Under the terms of the deal, Licey acquired outfielder Elier Hernández in exchange for infielder Amed Rosario and a fifth-round pick in the 2027 LIDOM Draft. Hernández, 31, brings experience from the Mexican Baseball League, previous LIDOM stints, and Major League Baseball with the Texas Rangers. Escogido management noted that acquiring Rosario, 30, adds versatility and veteran leadership to their roster. As the season opener against Leones del Escogido approaches on October 16, the team has further bolstered its squad. Major League Baseball pitcher Luis Gil, the 2024 American League Rookie of the Year, has joined training camp for a bullpen session following recovery from shoulder inflammation. Other notable additions include reliever Jean Carlos Mejía, a recent LIDOM saves leader, as well as Daniel Martínez and Alexander Cornielle.
