The Macedonian winery Tikveš received significant recognition at international wine competitions in 2026, specifically the Mundus Vini Summer Tasting and Citadelles du Vin. At the Mundus Vini Summer Tasting, the winery was named the best producer in Macedonia. It secured multiple gold medals and special honors, including ‘Best of Show’ awards for the best white wine (Bela Voda White 2025) and the best red wine (Barovo Red 2022) from the country. Other gold medal recipients from the winery included Babuna Red 2023, Bela Voda Red 2022, Luda Mara Red Cuvée 2024, and Babuna White 2025. The winery earned a total of 15 international awards across the competitions. In September 2026, Tikveš expanded its international accolades at the International Wine Challenge (IWC) in London. The winery’s Babuna Red 2023 won the trophy for the best red wine from Macedonia and earned a gold medal with a score of 95 points. Svetozar Janevski, Chairman of the Board of Tikveš, noted that the award recognizes the team’s commitment to quality and enhances Macedonia’s global reputation for unique terroirs.
