In late July 2026, TIM launched a consumer drive involving both promotional offers and price hikes. On 20 July, the operator added a free six-month Canva Pro subscription for standard broadband and mobile customers via its TIM Star loyalty scheme. However, the same announcement warned that prepaid SIM users would see a monthly increase after 31 August. By 27 July, TIM clarified that prepaid surcharges could reach €2.99 depending on the plan and opened a contract-modification window starting 3 September. TIM framed these changes as necessary due to “economic needs linked to changed market conditions.” In August, TIM expanded its price adjustments to TIMVISION subscription bundles. The first phase, beginning 26 September, targets mobile bundles like TIMVISION Intrattenimento and sports packages with increases up to €4 per month. A second phase on 1 October will affect fixed-line and WiFi offers, with increases reaching up to €13 per month for certain home offers and up to €4 for other fixed-line packages. TIM noted that existing promotions would not be affected and that customers could withdraw without penalty. By 1 October 2026, TIM implemented broader changes affecting both fixed and mobile services. For fixed-line customers, some offers will see a monthly increase of €2.99. Additionally, TIM is revising costs for paper billing, the ‘Chi è’ service, and various TIMVISION packages, with some increases reaching up to €4 per month. Affected fixed-line customers previously had the option to request a transition to FTTH or FWA lines without extra costs prior to these changes. In September, TIM introduced new mobile competition measures, including expanding the ‘TIM Wonder’ offer to customers porting from Lyca Mobile and launching ‘TIM Power Supreme Red’ and ‘TIM Power Supreme Orange’ plans at €7.99 per month. Concurrently, the operator announced further fixed-line price increases. Starting 1 November 2026, certain customers will face monthly increases of approximately €2.99, a move TIM attributed to the need to sustain investments related to increasing data traffic. Affected customers may withdraw from contracts without penalty by 30 November 2026.
