TLC Sister Wives cast changes

Overview

Kody and Robyn Brown are exiting the TLC reality series ‘Sister Wives’ after 16 years. The network confirmed they “will not be returning to the show,” a move that has left other former cast members, including Christine, Janelle, and Meri Brown, expressing shock.

The series has returned for its 21st season without the central couple. This transition follows reports that Kody and Robyn sold their $1.7 million home, profiting $885,000, and purchased a new six-bedroom residence for $2.1 million. The upcoming season focuses on the remaining family members, with Meri Brown indicating she is no longer on speaking terms with Kody and Robyn. Janelle Brown is also expected to introduce a new boyfriend during the new episodes.

Following the season premiere, viewers expressed frustration on social media regarding the show’s direction, with some calling for more transparency regarding past family conflicts and the failed Coyote Pass property. Additionally, the launch caused controversy among Discovery+ subscribers, many of whom reported being unable to find the new season on the platform. It was clarified that the season must finish airing on television before it becomes available for streaming on Discovery+, leading some viewers to consider canceling their subscriptions.
