TNA Wrestling held its Lockdown 2026 pay-per-view event on August 23, 2026, at the Credit Union 1 Arena in Chicago, Illinois. As per the event tradition, all matches were contested inside a steel cage. The event resulted in several championship changes. Leon Slater defeated Cedric Alexander in a Last Man Standing match to regain the TNA X Division Championship; this victory prevented Slater’s previous 298-day title reign from being erased from TNA history. Following this win, Slater invoked “Option C,” vacating his X-Division Championship to challenge for the TNA World title at Bound for Glory. Mustafa Ali reclaimed the TNA International Championship from Jason Hotch in a match that included Hotch diving off the cage through a table. Following the bout, Ali reportedly engaged in psychological warfare by targeting Hotch’s family. In the main event, Nic and Ryan Nemeth defeated The Hardys to win the TNA World Tag Team Championship, making Nic Nemeth a double champion as he already holds the TNA World title. Other successful title defenses included Xia Brookside retaining the TNA Knockouts World Championship against Elayna Black, and Allie and Kiera Hogan retaining the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Titles against The Elegance Brand. Hogan made a surprise return to replace the injured Rosemary. Additionally, Frankie Kazarian defeated Moose in an Escape the Cage match, and AJ Francis defeated Elijah with assistance from Expressions. The event also featured a Lethal Lockdown match where The System defeated the team of KC Navarro, Ricky Sosa, Fabian Aichner, and Jada Stone. Following the event, during the August 27 episode of iMPACT, Zoey Stark made a surprise debut by attacking Indi Hartwell, leaving her unconscious in the ring. Furthermore, M by Elegance became the first-ever TNA Knockouts Television Champion by defeating Jada Stone in a tournament final.
