Tony Iommi announced his first solo album in over two decades, **From *From The Dark**, Dark*, slated for worldwide release on 23 October 2026 via BMG. The record was unveiled during a July 29 livestream from Birmingham, filmed near the Black Sabbath Bridge, and features Norwegian vocalist Jørn Lande (co‑writer on all tracks), bassist Becky Baldwin, drummer Karl Brazil and co‑production by longtime collaborator Mike Exeter. The lead single “World Alone” premiered at the event and is accompanied by a retro‑future music video directed by Ryan Mackfall. A guest guitar solo by Queen’s Brian May appears on the track “Death Wake”. Iommi discussed the project with comedian Frank Skinner during the presentation. Formats include standard CD, deluxe vinyl editions and a limited‑edition 7‑inch single of “World Alone”. Iommi described the sessions as a “great time” and emphasized the record simply “rocks” without trying to prove anything. In early August, bassist Becky Baldwin confirmed she returned for a second studio session, completing her parts and expressing pride in the final mixes with co‑producer Mike Exeter. Drummer Karl Brazil also reiterated his involvement, praising the creative freedom Iommi gave him.
