Following the discovery of the dismembered body of 39-year-old Fabio Colapietro in a Turin apartment, authorities detained three individuals: Christian Matheus De Oliveira Morando, Nicole Formichetti, and Keith Butig (later identified as Keith Simon Domingo). Initial reports indicated the killing occurred during a physical altercation involving heavy drug and alcohol use, with De Oliveira Morando claiming the death was unintentional and sparked by a dispute over 50 euros. However, subsequent investigation details suggest the confrontation was triggered by an attempted theft of a gold bracelet. De Oliveira Morando alleged the victim entered through a window to steal the jewelry while he was sleeping. De Oliveira Morando has since confessed to killing Colapietro, claiming he struck him during a fight and then attempted to resuscitate him for two hours. Following the death, the group allegedly continued consuming drugs, including crack and LSD, before deciding to dispose of the body. De Oliveira Morando reportedly made video calls to his ex-girlfriend during the aftermath, mentioning the need to buy cement. Investigators found the victim's remains in bags and buckets partially covered with cement. cement, as well as in a bathtub and along the banks of the Dora river. Evidence suggests Formichetti, an Italian teacher, a 47-year-old professor, may have directed the group's efforts to dispose of the body. Investigators claim she directed the efforts to dismember the body and clean the scene using bleach. Intercepted communications included one suspect referring to her as ‘Satana’ (Satan) while noting her focus on concealing the crime to return to a normal life.
