Isola del Giglio, a Tuscan island recognized as an UN Best Tourism Village, is emphasizing its identity through local traditions and sustainable tourism. Efforts to maintain long-term sustainability include managing seasonal tourism and transportation costs while promoting cultural events such as the Festa dell'Uva e delle Cantine in late September. Organized by ASD Elba Runners, the event uses used Giglio Campese as a central hub to combine competitive racing with family-oriented activities designed to help visitors explore the island’s natural landscape. The event concluded with approximately 400 participants competing across various distances.
