Traffic accidents in Spain

Overview

A series of traffic accidents occurred across various regions in Spain during August 2026.

On August 18, a lateral collision between two passenger cars on the A-66 highway in Béjar left a 60-year-old man injured. Emergency services from Sacyl and the Guardia Civil of Traffic responded to the scene at kilometer 417.

By August 22, additional incidents were reported in other parts of the country. In Galicia, a driver struck a median on the A-55 highway in Guillarei, and a serious collision between a car and a motorcycle on the AP-9 highway near Pontevedra resulted in serious injuries to a motorcyclist and their passenger. In Salamanca, a vehicle veered off the A-62 highway and struck a safety barrier, causing minor injuries to one person.
