Traffic accidents on the A-62 highway in Spain
Overview
A series of serious traffic incidents occurred on the A-62 highway in Spain.
In late September, a road maintenance worker approximately 50 years old was injured during asphalt paving operations near Parada de Rubiales in Salamanca. The driver of the vehicle involved fled the scene immediately after the collision. The victim sustained a hip injury and was transported to the Hospital de Salamanca via medical helicopter.
In October, a major collision involving three trucks and two passenger cars took place in Tordesillas. This accident resulted in two fatalities, including a 57-year-old man who died at the scene and a 45-year-old man who later died at the Hospital de Salamanca. Eight other individuals, including two minors, were injured and required medical evacuation to hospitals in Valladolid.
