In mid-August 2026, several municipalities in Germany announced various enforcement actions. Authorities in Dorsten and Recklinghausen scheduled mobile speed camera operations and municipal patrols to enforce traffic safety and local ordinances, such as dog ownership regulations. Following these announcements, the Coesfeld district and the city of Marl scheduled additional speed enforcement operations for the period between August 24 and August 29. These operations included both stationary speed cameras and mobile checks across various locations, with officials noting that unannounced police checks might also occur. By late August, enforcement efforts expanded in Dorsten. From August 31 to September 6, the Municipal Order Service (KOD) scheduled speed enforcement on Freiheitsstraße, Wittenberger Damm, and Bestener Straße. The KOD also planned patrols in the Wulfen and Östrich districts to enforce dog ownership regulations, specifically targeting the prohibition of dogs on playgrounds and the requirement to carry waste bags. Around the end of August, enforcement activities extended to include the Trier region, parts of Luxembourg, and Saarland. Scheduled controls in these areas include the B53 in Enkirch, routes in Esch-sur-Alzette, the B 269, and the A6 motorway. In Recklinghausen, mobile radar units were scheduled for streets such as Dorstener Straße and Königstraße, with a specialized ‘tanker’ speed camera relocated to Thorner Straße.
