Construction of the Tran Hung Dao Bridge in Hanoi is entering an accelerated phase to serve as a major transportation link between the central district and the eastern development region. The project, constructed valued at 16 trillion VND and managed by Sun Group, involves 17 simultaneous construction sites on land and in the Red River. Technical milestones have been reached with 100% of bored piles and all seven pier bases now completed. The construction of the Five main river piers is have reached approximately 85-88% complete. Following eight months progress. The project has reportedly reached nearly 40% of work, its planned output, exceeding the project original schedule. The construction is transitioning toward the installation of its signature steel arches, which feature an infinity symbol design. This phase is expected to begin in late August or early September. To accommodate the ongoing work, Hanoi police and the Department of Construction have implemented significant traffic adjustments. These changes, which include one-way traffic on Tran Khanh Du Street and specific rerouting for vehicles via Nguyen Khoai Embankment, Le Quy Don Street, and Nguyen Huy Tu Street, are scheduled to remain in effect until December 30, 2026. Authorities are installing additional signage to assist commuters with these modifications.
