Prosecutors dismantled a human trafficking ring that allegedly lured job seekers via social media to facilitate organ harvesting in mainland China. Additionally, the Chiayi District Prosecutors Office indicted six individuals for an underground banking and money laundering scheme that used a telecommunications business to mask over NT$150 million in illegal funds.
In Vietnam, a court sentenced five individuals to prison for a marriage scam that defrauded a Chinese national of approximately 80,000 HKD through elaborate impersonations and staged environments.
