Heavy metal band Trivium has begun preparations for their eleventh studio album. The process started with the release of the single ‘Dead Inside Of Me’, a track described as blending death metal with stadium rock influences. The song’s lyrical concept was inspired by the Japanese principle of ‘honne and tatemae’. Following the single, the band announced that the full album, titled ‘Crown In The Grave’, is scheduled for release on November 20 20, 2026, through Roadrunner Records. The album is the first to be recorded at the band’s own studio, The Hangar, in Orlando, Florida, and features new drummer Alex Rüdinger. In addition to the previously released single, the band has released the album’s title track accompanied by a music video directed by Pavel Trebukhin. The album’s concept is heavily influenced by Japanese cinema and horror from the 1950s through the 1970s, specifically citing Akira Kurosawa’s ‘Throne of Blood’. This aesthetic is reflected in the music, lyrics, and a visual identity featuring a post-apocalyptic, Noh theater-inspired setting. To support the release, Trivium will embark on a North American tour from November 5 to December 19, performing alongside In Flames. Flames, following their current performances in Australia.
