Asırlık Gece broadcast & casting updates schedule
TRT 1’s historical drama Asırlık Gece continued its July rollout after the fourth episode aired on 24 July 2026. The same day 2026 and the back‑to‑back broadcast of episodes 6 and 7 on 31 July. On 31 July the network confirmed veteran Murat Aygen (born 1971 in Diyarbakır) as Hakan Fidan, highlighting his extensive theatre and screen résumé, including roles in Medcezir and Bodrum Masalı. The series, which dramatizes the 15 July coup attempt, remains filmed across Istanbul, Ankara and Balıkesir. Balıkesir and emphasizes documentary realism with real locations such as the Turkish Grand National Assembly and the presidential palace, and eyewitness testimonies. TRT 1 announced that the eighth episode will air on Friday, 7 August 2026 at 20:00, followed immediately by episode 9, continuing the weekly Friday slot. Episodes 10‑11 are scheduled for 14 August, episodes 12‑13 for 21 August, and the final two episodes 14‑15 for 28 August. Each broadcast is live on TRT 1 and streamed simultaneously on the Tabii platform. In parallel, Show TV’s new series Sevdan Bir Ateş, already noted in earlier updates, began shooting shot in Cappadocia. New details reveal director Murat Saraçoğlu, producers Cappadocia, is being produced by Mehmet Canpolat and Sadi Canpolat, directed by Murat Saraçoğlu, and lead actors stars Murat Ünalmış (Mirza) and Özge Özacar (Leyla), (Leyla) with a supporting cast that includes Sitare Akbaş and Gökçe Eyüboğlu. On 27 July TRT 1 announced that episodes 6 and 7 of Asırlık Gece will be broadcast back‑to‑back on Friday, 31 July at 20:00, and streamed live on the Tabii platform. The back‑to‑back airing aims to provide a continuous, cinematic viewing experience, underscoring the series’ emphasis on real testimonies and archival material.
