The Government of Tucumán has authorized a potential loan of up to $100 billion from Banco Macro to fund 16 infrastructure projects, including the completion of 572 Procrear II housing units. The credit facility features a 36-month term from each disbursement with a six-month grace period on capital. To guarantee repayment, the province may assign collection rights from its Federal Tax Co-participation Regime to the bank. Use of the funds is contingent on provincial revenue evolution and financial needs, with the Minister of Economy and Production authorized to manage documentation and seek necessary approvals from the National Ministry of Economy and the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic. In addition to infrastructure financing, the Tucumán Legislature is currently reviewing several projects aimed at providing relief to more than 257,000 indebted households facing high delinquency rates. Lawmakers are also considering measures to extend protections for holders of automotive savings plans through 2027.
