Tulang Bawang family murder investigation
Overview
On October 5, 2026, a family of three—identified as Rahmat (69), Hasanah (56), and their 14-year-old daughter Devny Kishela Putri—were found dead from multiple stab wounds at their home in Kampung Purwa Jaya, Tulang Bawang, Lampung.
Initial reports indicated that police shot and killed a 35-year-old suspect, identified by the initials AF, after he allegedly attacked officers with a sharp weapon during an attempted arrest on the East Trans Sumatra Highway.
Subsequent investigations identified the suspect as Ahmad Fathony. Forensic examinations revealed the victims died from injuries caused by sharp objects and blunt force trauma, including skull fractures.
