Turistik Doğu Ekspresi winter season schedule

Overview

The 2026-2027 winter season schedule for the Turistik Doğu Ekspresi has been released. Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that the service will consist of 70 total trips, split equally between the Ankara-Kars and Kars-Ankara directions.

Ankara-Kars trips are set to run from December 21, 2026, to March 10, 2027, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The return Kars-Ankara trips will operate from December 23, 2026, to March 12, 2027, on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Ticket sales for individuals are scheduled to begin on October 26, 2026, via TCDD Taşımacılık.

The train service includes sleeping and dining cars, with two-person sleeping compartments. The route features sightseeing stops in Erzincan and Erzurum for the Ankara-Kars direction, and İliç, Divriği, and Sivas for the Kars-Ankara direction. Prices for two-person sleeping rooms are expected to range from 15,000 TL to 20,000 TL.
