In mid‑July 2026, the Turkish Official Gazette published amendments to university statutes, professional‑association rules, import quotas, and payment‑services licences. Early August saw the establishment of new research centres at Afyonkarahisar Health Sciences University and Gazi University, alongside amendments regarding environmental policy, drinking‑water protection, and agricultural land‑use. On 6 August 2026, the Gazette announced a grant agreement for the Fırat Nehri Havzası Rehabilitation Project with the International Fund for Agricultural Development and issued the Emlak Vergisi Law General Communiqué (Series 90). The 7 August issue included a presidential delegation decree appointing Cevdet Yılmaz to act for President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during his absence, and amended regulations for higher‑education housing, the Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency, and Trakya University. Additionally, Eti Maden was authorized to expropriate 258 properties in Eskişehir’s Sivrihisar and Beylikova districts to facilitate mining for thorium, barite, fluorite, and rare earth elements, while TEİAŞ proceeded with expropriations for 154 kV energy transmission lines in Niğde and Konya.
