In late 2026, various open education institutions in Turkey initiated registration and renewal processes for the 2026-2027 academic year. The Ministry of National Education (MEB) opened registration for the Open Education High School (AÖL) on September 11, 2026, with a deadline of October 12, 2026. The process involves pre-registration followed by final registration at Public Education Centers, with fees set at 750 TL. Anadolu University’s registration renewal for the Open Education Faculty (AÖF) autumn semester began on October 5, 2026, and is scheduled to conclude on October 19, 2026. A significant change for this academic year is that the faculty will no longer perform automatic course assignments. Students must manually select up to 8 courses and a maximum of 45 ECTS credits through the Student Information System. Once selection is finalized, registration fees—which vary by program and course load—can be paid via bank cards, Ziraat Bank ATMs, or mobile and internet banking. On October 8, 2026, Anadolu University launched a student amnesty program for AÖF. This program allows students who previously paused their studies or had registrations canceled to return. Eligible candidates must register via the e-Devlet system by October 16, 2026, at 17:00 and pay instructional material fees. Following this, a period for course selection and add-drop operations will remain open until October 19, 2026, at 22:00. Notably, students previously placed in a program by ÖSYM who never registered will have their courses assigned by the faculty for the fall semester, resuming manual selection in the spring.
