In early July, Turkey’s parliament introduced a proposal to overhaul employment and pension benefits for state postal service (PTT) workers. By late July, experts criticized the national pension calculation system for producing inequities. Further complicating the landscape, expert Dilek Ete identified a significant disparity for civil servants caused by the 2008 transition from Law No. 5434 to Law No. 5510.
