The Turkish Ministry of Health has issued amendments implemented comprehensive changes to the Private Hospitals Regulation, as published in the Official Gazette. The new rules introduce A central feature of these updates is an inspection exemption system tied to accreditation levels from the Health Services Quality and Accreditation Institute (TÜSKA). Hospitals with platinum or gold accreditation will receive three-year inspection exemptions, silver-level facilities receive two years, and bronze-level facilities receive one year, though extraordinary inspections may still occur due to complaints. The updates regulation also modify modifies technical and staffing requirements. Private hospitals may now meet certain needs, such as medical biochemistry or microbiology laboratories and X-ray equipment, through on-site service procurement from licensed external providers. Specifically, hospitals must possess either a mobile X-ray device or an X-ray device with at least 500 mA power, though procurement remains an option.
