The nationwide programme of planned electricity and water interruptions that began in May 2026 has continued through October. Outages are tied to network renewal, transformer replacement, line upgrades, and infrastructure modernization. In mid-September, maintenance was widespread. Electricity outages were implemented across İzmir, Denizli, Diyarbakır, Bursa, and Antalya. Specific regional works included Ankara, where Başkent EDAŞ scheduled outages in 18 districts, and extensive infrastructure improvements by ADM Elektrik in Muğla, Aydın, and Denizli. In Bursa, UEDAŞ reported outages affecting up to 15 districts. In İzmir, İZSU initiated a 600 million TL investment to replace 40-year-old water pipes in Kınık and Poyracık to reduce water loss, alongside wastewater line reinforcement near the Gulf of İzmir. By late September and early October, maintenance intensified. In Van, VEDAŞ announced works affecting daily life and traffic, while Sivas saw repairs in Divriği and İmranlı. Bursa experienced outages in 13 districts, including Gemlik and Osmangazi. In İzmir, GDZ Elektrik performed capacity increases across 14 to 22 districts, including Buca, Bornova, and Konak. Other affected areas included Gaziantep, Bolu, Konya, and Balıkesir. In Aydın, maintenance included tree trimming and network investments, though some outages, such as in Kuşadası, were postponed to later in the month. In late October, disruptions expanded. Rize faced outages across 71 areas, and Samsun saw interruptions in 15 districts.
