Turkey’s transportation sector has experienced significant growth in passenger numbers across aviation and urban transit. During the first eight months of the year, Turkish airports served over 167 million passengers, with Istanbul and Antalya acting as the primary hubs. In the urban sector, the Gayrettepe-Istanbul Airport-Halkalı Metro Line reported record-breaking daily passenger counts. Following these trends in passenger movement, a new Presidential Decision has restructured the country’s railway network. The regulation reorganizes 47 railway lines designated for passenger transport under public service obligations, consisting of 13 main lines connecting major cities and 34 regional lines intended for short and medium-distance connections. In conjunction with these structural changes, various public institutions have announced large-scale recruitment drives for permanent workers through İŞKUR. The General Directorate of Highways (KGM) is hiring 50 continuous workers, including general laborers, subject to a two-month trial period and a five-year restriction on provincial transfers. Other recruitment efforts include Eti Maden seeking 106 process workers, the Ministry of National Defense hiring 100 workers for fuel supply and NATO facilities, and TİGEM recruiting various personnel for operations in Eskişehir.
