A Turkish Airlines flight (TK663) traveling from Istanbul to Tunis was forced to divert due to severe thunderstorms and intense turbulence while attempting to land at Tunis-Carthage International Airport. The aircraft, an Airbus A321, A321 aborted three separate landing attempts as weather conditions deteriorated. During the third approach, passengers experienced significant panic; video footage captured the aircraft appearing to drop suddenly, accompanied by shouts of “We ‘We are going to die! We are going to die!” die!’ One passenger described the experience as “absolutely terrifying.” ‘absolutely terrifying.’ The crew diverted the flight to Enfidha-Hammamet International Airport, located approximately 100 kilometers south of the capital, where the plane landed safely with no serious injuries reported. Following a delay of more than six hours, the aircraft eventually resumed its journey and reached its original destination in Tunis.
