Uzak Şehir season 3 premiere and ~~rating~~ production updates

The Turkish television series ‘Uzak Şehir’ has entered its third season on Kanal D, beginning with its 64th episode. Following a time jump, the narrative centers on Alya’s return to Mardin from Canada and her subsequent time in Budapest, where her life intersects again with Cihan Albora. This move follows Cihan’s decision to bring Alya’s son, Deniz, to the region to ensure the continuation of the Ecmel lineage. The new season explores heightened tensions within the Albora family, specifically through the growing animosity from Sadakat toward Alya. Additionally, a conflict has emerged between Cihan and Enver, Alya’s first love. Despite a decline in viewership compared to the previous season’s finale, the season premiere secured the top spot in the Total, AB, and ABC1 rating categories, recording 7.65 in the Total category. Production details have recently highlighted the physical transformations of the cast and the show’s setting. Actress Gonca Cilasun, who portrays Sadakat Albora, revealed she lost 8 kilograms to reflect the character’s “emotional devastation and guilt” following the loss of a child.
