Local officials in Turkey have conducted meetings with merchants and trade representatives to discuss regional economic development. In Karatay, Mayor Hasan Kılca visited markets near the Aziziye Mosque to hear requests from business owners. Kılca noted that these historical markets are essential for preserving cultural heritage and stated that the municipality intends to support the district by addressing workforce needs. In Akhisar, Mayor Ekrem Kayserili met with heads of tradesmen and artisans chambers, alongside regional political officials, to discuss the district’s commercial life. During these consultations, chamber representatives presented sector statuses and proposed solutions for local economic challenges to facilitate trade activities. Building on these discussions, Mayor Kayserili and Yeni Parti Manisa Deputy Ahmet Vehbi Bakırlıoğlu met with local tradesmen and chamber presidents to address the local economy and the upcoming 2027 central government budget. Bakırlıoğlu emphasized that any budget must address the needs of producers and small businesses.
