Industrial activities and cooperation efforts have been reported across several Turkish regions. In Denizli, the Organized Industrial Zone (OSB) held a meeting focused on state incentives and support mechanisms, such as the 2026 Competitive Industrial Enterprises Alternative Support Program, to assist local firms with competitiveness and industrial property rights. In other regions, efforts to strengthen economic ties are underway. Memet Aslan, Chairman of the Van OSB and a member of the Board of the Organized Industrial Zones Supreme Body (OSBÜK), has been engaged in high-level meetings in Balıkesir to establish industrial, economic, and tourism cooperation between the two regions. Alongside OSBÜK Chairman Memiş Kütükcü, Aslan met with Balıkesir Governor İsmail Ustaoğlu and various chamber of commerce and industry leaders to address the needs of 11 organized industrial zones in Balıkesir. These discussions explored strategic partnerships, highlighting the connection between the Edremit districts of both Van and Balıkesir as a foundation for expanding industrial networks. As part of these efforts, Aslan also met with Oruç Baba İnan, Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology. During this meeting, he presented the current infrastructure status, manufacturing capacity, and strategic projects of the Van OSB, which are intended to attract new investors and increase employment. Additionally, the Boyabat OSB in Sinop has seen expansion, with five new factories beginning operations, bringing the total number of active businesses in that zone to 13.
