The transfer of Mohamed Salah to Trabzonspor continues to drive significant commercial, social, and sporting impacts. The club has reported a record 152% increase in jersey sales, reaching 116,000 units, while season ticket sales have surpassed 25,000. Former coach Fatih Tekke has praised Salah’s professionalism and versatility both on and off the pitch. Economically, the ‘Salah effect’ has extended into the local real estate sector, with a villa near Papara Park being marketed for 31 million TL under the slogan ‘Be a neighbor to Mohamed Salah’. Tourism data reflects his influence, showing a 25% increase in Egyptian visitors to Trabzon during the first eight months of the year. His social media presence has also created new tourist hotspots; after Salah shared a photo at the Kurtdere Plateau in Gümüşhane, the site saw increased popularity. However, a bench and a sign reading ‘Salah Yaylası’ placed by the Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality were removed overnight, which local officials suggest may be linked to social media debates regarding regional borders between Trabzon and Gümüşhane. On the pitch, Salah maintains high performance with seven goals and two assists in six league matches. Regarding international duty, the Egyptian national team announced Salah would be rested for an upcoming match against South Sudan due to concerns regarding the artificial turf ~~surface, following a technical substitution during a recent match against Angola.~~ surface.
