TUSAŞ aviation industry expansion and training

Overview

Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) is pursuing industrial expansion and workforce development across several Turkish regions. In Afyonkarahisar, a TUSAŞ delegation met with local business leaders to discuss integrating regional industrial enterprises into defense and aviation supply chains.

Expansion efforts are also progressing in Kahramanmaraş, where plans for a new TUSAŞ factory and aircraft assembly facilities are moving toward the groundbreaking stage. To support this industrial growth, officials are addressing regional infrastructure needs, such as railway land issues.

Simultaneously, TUSAŞ is focusing on human capital through specialized vocational training in Ankara. The TUSAŞ Şehit Hakan Gülşen Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School provides technical instruction in aircraft systems, robotics, and software. This partnership facilitates employment, with approximately 60 percent of graduates securing positions at TUSAŞ, and offers international training opportunities through Erasmus projects in countries including Germany, Romania, and Hungary.
