Tuscany is implementing various initiatives to bolster regional tourism and infrastructure. Early efforts focused on local development in Versilia and Valdinievole, including the ‘Valorizzare l’Italia’ conference in Viareggio and the ‘Buy Tuscany’ program, which aims to attract international investment through cultural and gastronomic integration. Subsequent developments show a focus on digital transition and sustainable mobility in preparation for the TTG Travel Experience 2026. Regional strategies aim to connect major cities with inland and coastal areas. Additionally, infrastructure projects are advancing, such as the North East Bypass in the Province of Pisa, a 34 million euro project intended to improve connectivity and reduce traffic congestion. Furthering the regional focus on digital transformation, the Traent Hub has been established in Piazza Garibaldi, Pisa. This new technology and innovation space is designed to support digital talent and local businesses by serving as a permanent residency for founders, developers, researchers, and students. In collaboration with Confcommercio Pisa, the hub aims to assist small and medium-sized enterprises in navigating innovation. During the TTG Travel Experience 2026 held in Rimini from October 14 to 16, Tuscany participated in the major B2B marketplace to showcase its regional offerings. The region’s presence at the event focused specifically on its ongoing commitment to digital transition, sustainable mobility, and cultural heritage. The event featured a wide array of participants, including international organizations like the Korea Tourism Organization and various Italian regions such as Sardinia, Abruzzo, Sicily, and Piedmont, all highlighting unique assets like enogastronomy and year-round travel opportunities.
