When the championships opened on Plovdiv’s artificial canal, Romania’s U19 crews secured two gold and two bronze medals, winning the men’s double sculls and women’s four, and adding podium finishes in the women’s double sculls and a second women’s four. By the conclusion of the championships, Romania finished at the top of the medal standings with a total of six medals: three gold, one silver, and two bronze. The gold medals were earned in the men's double sculls, the women's four, and the women's eight plus one. The silver medal was won in the mixed eight plus one event, while bronze medals were secured in the women's double sculls and women's quad sculls.
