UAE airline flight route resumptions

Overview

Airlines based in the United Arab Emirates have announced plans to restore specific international flight routes. In October 2026, Air Arabia announced the resumption of daily non-stop flights between Ras Al Khaimah and Kozhikode, India, starting October 16, 2026. The move aims to address travel demand and improve connectivity between the two regions.

In November 2026, Flydubai announced it would restore direct flights between Skopje, North Macedonia, and Dubai in early 2027. The service, expected to begin in March or April 2027, will operate three times per week on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. This resumption follows a seven year hiatus caused by the coronavirus pandemic and is intended to support tourism, trade, and cultural exchange.

North Macedonian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, Aleksandar Nikoloski, confirmed the agreement. The flights will depart from Dubai International Airport’s Terminal 3, enabling passengers to use codeshare partnerships with Emirates for onward travel to locations such as Australia, China, Singapore, Bangkok, and Zanzibar. Initial return fares for Economy Lite are priced from €580, while Business Class fares start at €3,000.
