Updates regarding professional cycling events include the scheduling of the 2027 UCI Gravel World Series Brazil in Camboriú, featuring Gran Fondo and Medio Fondo courses designed to qualify participants for the UCI Super World Series. Additionally, the Volta a Portugal is set for August 2027 but will remain in the third division for the 2026–2028 cycle, preventing the participation of World Tour teams. In Portugal, the second edition of the UCI Alentejo Gravel event was presented in Ourique. Scheduled for October 25, 2026, the competition is part of the UCI Gravel calendar and offers qualification spots for the 2027 UCI Gravel World Championships while promoting regional tourism. The event is expected to draw 1,000 athletes from 34 countries. Preparations for the UCI Alentejo Gravel event continue in Ourique as the international cycling competition approaches.
