UFC Paris: Parnasse vs Hooker Main Event Held

Overview

UFC Fight Night returned to the Accor Arena in Paris on September 5, 2026, featuring a 14-fight card. The event was headlined by the highly anticipated lightweight debut of Salahdine Parnasse, the former two-division KSW champion, against veteran Dan Hooker. In the main event, Parnasse secured a dominant TKO victory over Hooker, finishing the fight at 2:35 of the first round. The stoppage followed a decisive body kick, a flurry of punches, and a head kick. Parnasse, who holds a professional record of 24-2 and has finished his last six opponents via knockout or TKO, earned a ‘Performance of the Night’ bonus.

Following the win, Parnasse expressed interest in facing Max Holloway, describing it as a ‘dream fight’ to test his conditioning against the former BMF champion. He also stated he is willing to face any ranked opponent in the top five if Holloway declines. While specific matchups with Mateusz Gamrot or Quillan Salkilld have also been discussed as potential tests, UFC President Dana White noted that while the callout to Holloway was ‘pretty crazy,’ the prospect of the fight is ‘interesting.’

Due to his established reputation as a marquee star in KSW, there has been significant speculation regarding the financial terms of Parnasse’s UFC contract. While specific figures remain undisclosed, observers suggest his earnings are likely significantly higher than standard entry-level contracts for newcomers. Conversely, the loss marks the first three-fight losing skid for Dan Hooker, who fell to a 24-15 record.
