UK royal family popularity trends

A YouGov poll released at the end of July 2026 showed Prince Harry’s favourable rating rise to 33 percent after his first meeting with King Charles III, a six‑point increase since the previous year and higher than his 30‑percent rating in April. The same poll recorded King Charles at his highest approval since becoming monarch (68 percent) and confirmed that Prince William and Catherine remain the most popular royals.

A follow‑up poll published two days later reaffirmed Harry’s lead, again reporting a 33 percent positive view. It placed Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie slightly behind at 30 percent and 29 percent respectively, while Meghan Markle recorded the lowest approval among the royals mentioned, at 22 percent. Prince Andrew’s positive rating was negligible at 2 percent. The data underscore that, despite a modest rise for Harry, the younger members of the British royal family continue to lag in public favour.
