UNED academic expansion in Spain

The UNED university centers in Soria and Zamora are expanding their academic curricula for the 2026-2027 academic year by introducing new programs focused on technology and specialized fields.

In Soria, the Governing Board approved a teaching plan that includes new degrees in Artificial Intelligence and Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. The center is also adding double degrees in Psychology and Criminology, and in Economics and Mathematics, alongside various master’s and micro-degrees. Existing programs in Economics, Business Administration and Management, and Tourism will be updated with specialized tracks in areas such as data analysis and digital transformation. This expansion is supported by a 2027 budget of 446,809.23 euros, funded by local government entities and Caja Rural.

In Zamora, the Associated Center and its Ciudad Rodrigo classroom are introducing an official Degree in Artificial Intelligence Engineering. This four-year program, totaling 240 ECTS credits, covers subjects including machine learning, robotics, and big data analysis. The program utilizes UNED’s flexible methodology, combining remote learning with in-person tutoring to serve students in the Zamora and Salamanca provinces.
