The Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP) has announced several academic and vocational opportunities. In mid-August, the university opened selection processes for substitute professor positions in Franca and Araraquara. These roles, covering Public Law and Classical Letters respectively, require a master’s degree and involve a selection process consisting of written, didactic, and title evaluations. In Franca, the Public Law position at the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences offers a monthly compensation between R$ 2,106.04 and R$ 3,511.90, plus a food allowance of R$ 2,000.02. Applications for these roles were scheduled from August 17 to August 31, 2026. Following this, UNESP released notices for the 2027 Vestibulinho, offering 450 vacancies for technical courses across campuses in Bauru, Jaboticabal, and Guaratinguetá. The Bauru campus provides 210 vacancies in Electronics, Informatics, and Mechanics, while Guaratinguetá and Jaboticabal offer 120 vacancies each. Applications for these vocational programs run from August 31 to October 29, 2026, with entrance examinations scheduled for November 29, 2026. In September, the university announced its 2027 undergraduate entrance exam (Vestibular), providing 5,850 vacancies across 136 courses in 24 cities. This edition includes increased spots for Medicine and maintains inclusion policies, reserving 50% of vacancies for public school students, including specific quotas for Black, mixed-race, and Indigenous candidates. Additionally, a new substitute professor position in Veterinary Anatomy was announced for the Institute of Biosciences in Botucatu, with applications open from September 8 to September 22, 2026. By late September, further details emerged regarding the 2027 Vestibular, noting that applications for the main entrance exam are open until October 20, 2026, via the Vunesp website. This intake includes 85 spots for medicine and utilizes a two-phase evaluation process involving multiple-choice questions, discursive questions, and an essay. New substitute professor vacancies were also announced for Arts (Theater) in São Paulo, requiring a master's or doctoral degree, and General Physics at the Institute of Chemistry in Araraquara, which requires a doctorate.
