A lower court previously sentenced Kim to seven years in prison after finding her guilty of accepting approximately 300 million won in gifts—including jewelry, a luxury watch, and artwork—in exchange for government appointments and political mediation. Kim has appealed the ruling, maintaining her innocence, as the Seoul High Court prepares to deliver its decision.
