Universal Studios Japan has announced several special events to celebrate its 25th anniversary and the transition into 2027. Initial announcements detailed the ‘NO LIMIT! Countdown 2027 ~Discover U!!!~’ event, a 26-hour celebration running from the evening of December 31, 2026, through January 1, 2027. The park outlined a tiered ticket sales schedule for various pass holders, including specific entry and exit rules for ‘Party Pass’ and standard studio pass holders. Subsequent updates expanded the seasonal programming to include the ‘Winter Special Live at UNIVERSAL STUDIOS JAPAN’. This series features performances by K-pop artists Hearts2Hearts and NCT WISH in late November and early December 2026. The New Year’s Eve countdown will also feature a ‘Countdown Moment’ with approximately 5,000 fireworks, a DJ show, and a ‘Countdown Special Stage’ at Gramacy Park. Further seasonal programming includes the ‘Universal Holiday Wonders ~Discover U!!!~’ event, scheduled to run from November 13, 2026, to January 17, 2027. This event features a large-scale ‘Universal Food Festival’ with themed menus across various park areas, including character-themed plates at Studio Stars Restaurant, a ‘Red Shell Calzone’ in Super Nintendo World, and a ‘Holiday Feast’ in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. To facilitate dining, the park is offering ‘Holiday Food Passports’ starting October 14, 2026, which provide meal vouchers for a set price. The event also includes character meet-and-greets, such as Elmo appearing in holiday attire.
