The city of Belém has engaged in various urban revitalization and commemorative activities. Initial efforts focused on the maintenance of public green spaces, including landscaping, lighting repairs, and vandalism prevention at the Doca and Tamandaré Linear Parks, alongside celebrations for the 143rd anniversary of the Bosque Rodrigues Alves. Following these environmental and park-focused initiatives, the municipality marked its 64th anniversary of political emancipation by announcing broader infrastructure and social investments. These included support for family farming, the delivery of new housing, and paving projects across several communities such as Cabeça Dantas, Mont’Douro, and the city center. More recently, the municipality celebrated its 69th anniversary of political emancipation with a series of official ceremonies and community events. The anniversary program included a flag-raising ceremony, a Thanksgiving Mass, and a parade featuring students, educators, and marching bands. Infrastructure developments highlighted during this period included the inauguration of the renovated and revitalized Public Municipal Slaughterhouse, an investment aimed at improving sanitary quality and working conditions. The festivities concluded with a men’s futsal tournament and a festive dawn procession known as ‘Alvorada Festiva’.
