Urban sketching and community-driven art activities are expanding continue to expand across Spain. In Pontevedra, the Urban Sketchers group, co-founded by Macu and illustrator Chus Rojo, holds monthly meetings in public spaces to foster social connections and observational skills through pencil and watercolor. This movement has extended into broader cultural exhibitions and organized events. In Fuerteventura, the ‘Patrimonio Vivo. Fuerteventura a través de los Urban Sketchers’ exhibition showcases works capturing the island’s heritage. Additionally, Úbeda is set to host the preparing for its XI Artistic Days, featuring masterclasses and an open-air painting competition involving seven watercolorist associations. which is expected to feature approximately 300 artists. Other regional showcases, such as ‘Pinceladas de Vida’ in l’Alfàs del Pi, further highlight the diversity of local artistic engagement. Recent cultural activity also includes the ‘Del Cercle a Cavallers’ collaborative exhibition in Lleida between Espai Cavallers and Cercle de Belles Arts.
