Various regional communities across the United States are hosting seasonal autumn and Halloween-themed events. In late September, activities included fall-themed celebrations in the Alabama River Heritage region and community events in Texarkana, such as the Three Chicks Feed & Seed Fall Festival and the annual Keep Texarkana Beautiful Fall Sweep. Other Texarkana activities included a kickball tournament and a free community dinner. By mid-to-late October, festivities expanded to include church-led community fall festivals in Hartselle and the Nederland and Port Arthur areas. These events featured family activities, games, food, and cultural performances, including ‘Monsters in the Park’ and celebrations involving live music and dancers. In Alabama, the seasonal activities continued with the Heritage Day event in Attalla, which drew hundreds of residents to the historical downtown district for musical performances, food stalls, and shopping. Looking ahead to November, the 16th annual Mud Creek Arts & Crafts Festival is scheduled for November 7 in downtown Hanceville, featuring street vendors, handmade goods, and food trucks.
