The United States Department of Defense has continued its release of documentation regarding Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) through the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters (PURSUE). Following an order by the Trump administration to increase transparency, the Pentagon has released multiple batches of declassified files containing reports from military and civilian observers, including materials from the FBI, CIA, and Department of State. A seventh collection of 28 files has been released, including reports from the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO). Secretary of War Pete Hegseth stated that these files, previously hidden behind classifications, are being made available for public scrutiny. These documents detail a matte black, triangular object with a wingspan of 9 to 15 feet observed by federal agents over a sensitive, undisclosed location in the western United States in June 2026. The object reportedly performed a vertical ascent, hovered for approximately 20 seconds, and accelerated to speeds estimated between 1,800 and 2,900 km/h without producing sound, exhaust, or visible propulsion, while maintaining a seamless exterior lacking windows or cockpits. The object exhibited a “spatially uniform thermal signature” during its flight. Historical documents in this tranche include sightings near Santa Catalina Island between 1947 and 1955 involving silver objects and violet-white spheres, as well as reports from Boy Scouts regarding objects moving faster than jet aircraft. The release also features a 1957 radar contact involving a B-52 bomber over Saudi Arabia, a 2010 investigation into a Utah ranch involving reports of glowing orbs and bipedal creatures, and a 2002 affidavit from former Roswell official Walter Haut describing an egg-shaped craft and non-human entities related to the 1947 Roswell incident. Haut’s testimony describes recovered debris as “paper-thin yet extremely resilient fragments” that were unrecognizable to officials.
