US, Iran, and Israel regional conflict

Diplomatic and military tensions persist between the United States, Iran, and Israel. Regarding US-Iran relations, negotiations remain indirect, with Tehran communicating through mediators to establish conditions for talks while the US administration conducts ‘partial’ negotiations amid economic pressure.

Military escalations have resulted in significant costs for the United States. Reports indicate that Iran has launched over 2,000 missile and drone attacks against Middle Eastern targets since military operations against Iran began on February 28, leading to an estimated $13 billion in losses and damage to at least 42 US aircraft.

In Gaza, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected a 15-point peace proposal formulated by US President Donald Trump. Netanyahu maintains that Israeli forces will not withdraw until Hamas is completely disarmed. While Hamas has expressed openness to the roadmap, they contend that disarmament can only occur if Israeli troops vacate the enclave. The proposal suggests that heavy weaponry would be controlled exclusively by the Palestinian Authority.
