Following controversial remarks regarding the Golan Heights, Barrack issued further clarifications, walking back suggestions that Israel’s presence there violates UN resolutions and reaffirming that U.S. policy remains unchanged. Regarding Lebanon, he reiterated that the U.S. is negotiating exclusively with the Lebanese government. These developments have sparked debate in Washington, with reports suggesting Secretary of State Marco Rubio is reviewing Barrack’s diplomatic effectiveness.
