On 31 July 2026 2026, at roughly 10 a.m. local time, a U.S. Marine Corps F‑35B Lightning II assigned to Marine Aircraft Group 11, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, crashed on near the flight line at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, San Diego.
