The indictment also alleges that some treatments were directed toward terminally ill patients whose wounds may have been incapable of healing. Federal investigators have reportedly seized approximately $11.8 million from financial accounts linked to the case. A separate indictment involves Michael McMillan, a Las Vegas resident, who is accused of orchestrating a nationwide distribution arrangement involving approximately $268 million in challenged wound-care claims. Prosecutors contend that McMillan used sales representatives to recruit medical providers through agreements that utilized rebates and discounts to mask illegal kickbacks intended to influence medical decisions.
