The Municipality of Ushuaia continues to expand its community support and social welfare initiatives. The Secretariat of Women and Human Development is currently managing the 10th edition of ‘Expo Mujer,’ alongside the operation of Mujer’ and operating a Digital Encounter Space at the Casa de la Mujer, which provides Mujer to provide digital tools and training for women. Mental health remains a focal point through the ‘Pausa & Expresión’ program, which utilizes artistic and recreational activities to promote well-being. This aligns with broader regional efforts, efforts such as the II Fueguian Community Mental Health and Social Inclusion Days Days. Additionally, the Secretariat recently hosted a seminar titled ‘S.O.S. Tantrums: How do we accompany the emotional development processes in Tierra del Fuego. childhood?’, led by Professor Natalia Tejero, to provide caregivers with tools for supporting children's emotional growth. Women's empowerment initiatives have also expanded into specialized sectors. In Rio Grande, the Ministry of Production and Environment concluded the first ‘Mujeres de Mar’ (Women of the Sea) course, which trains women in artisanal fishing, aquaculture, resource sustainability, and financial education. Similar training sessions are planned for Ushuaia and Tolhuin. In addition to women’s empowerment, social programs, the city is hosting hosts specialized community events, including the inaugural ‘Expo Café’ at the Antigua Casa Beban to promote specialty coffee.
