Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has engaged in several political and administrative initiatives. Initially, Dhami met with the Bharatiya Janata Party’s new state in-charge, Ram Madhav, and co-in-charges Arvind Menon and Bansuri Swaraj. During this meeting, Dhami criticized the Congress party for allegedly blaming constitutional institutions for electoral losses. Following these political engagements, Dhami implemented a new governance initiative by chairing a state cabinet meeting in Banbasa, Champawat district. This marked the first time a cabinet session was held outside the capital, Dehradun. The move aims to bring governance closer to remote border regions near the India-Nepal international border to better address local issues, security, and infrastructure needs. In addition to administrative decentralization, Dhami has focused on cultural and social initiatives. He inaugurated the three-day Uttarakhand Aadi Rangotsav in Khatima, an event showcasing tribal art and culture from over 15 states. During the festival, he emphasized the government’s commitment to tribal empowerment through housing, healthcare, and education schemes. Dhami also marked the 32nd anniversary of the statehood movement by paying tribute at the Uttarakhand Martyr Memorial in Muzaffarnagar. Furthermore, he participated in the Namo Cricket League in Panchkula, where he led a campaign promoting fitness and sports as an alternative to drug addiction, using the slogan ‘Yes to cricket, no to drugs’.
